■ An in situ strategy was developed to anchor TiO2 nanoparticles on GF by the combination of solution techniques and an alkaline hydrothermal process. The investigation into the photocatalytic ability of materials indicated that the flake-like TiO2 /GF possessed much enhanced photocatalytic activity for the degradation of the organic dye.

■ Magnetic foam consisting of graphene and Fe3O4 nanoparticles was prepared by a facile solvothermal method. The prepared magnetic foam with porous and hierarchical structures showed excellent capability to adsorb oil and various organic solvents. Furthermore, the foam can be easily applied by magnetic driven oil–water separation with a high selectivity for oil and manifested outstanding reusability and durability when applied under cyclic operations.

■ A systematic overview on the perspectives of CNT/polymer nanocomposites for wind blades is provided. The suitabilities of these nanocomposites are analyzed with considerations on the structural and functional requirements for blade materials. It is demonstrated that CNT/polymer nanocomposites have great potential to optimize blade materials to be much stiffer, stronger, and have better fatigue resistance.
