Objectives

The invitation-only China-US symposium will strengthen our existing bilateral research partnership with focus on environmental science and technology. Specifically, the symposium will be organized around the following topics:

·Environmental Pollution and Quality Control

·Environmental Monitoring and Assessment

·Environmental Chemistry and Sustainability

·Eco-materials and Engineering

·Clean and Renewable Energy

Participants

The symposium will invite approximately 7 leading US scientists and 10 Chinese leading scientists. There will be approximately 10 oral presentations, and up to 80 participants including scientists, students, government officials, and industry experts.

This invitation-only China-US symposium will be held in Urumqi, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, China, July 1-3, 2013, and hosted by the Technical Institute of Physics & Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
